Nature Walk or Trekking

The best way to explore the Bera or Jawai area is to have a nature walk or trekking with our naturalist. One can see the daily life of village and experience the natural habitat. One can listen and feel the sound of winds, the tinkling bells in the necklace worn by the goats & cows, breaths of fresh air and weaver bird watching you out of its magnificent nest - provide a real rural ambience and backdrop to your outing – like you have never experienced before. It gives more chance to have the experience of Flora and fauna of Bera & Jawai village. For birdwatcher we always recommend nature walk or trekking.

A nature walk provides significant benefit because it helps to relieve stress. Brisk walking boosts endorphins, the feel-good hormones that improve your mood and lower the stress. Walking gives you more energy, which also improves your positive feelings.

Day Excursions

Day excursions to Ranakpur temple or Kumbhalgarh Fort can be done from Bera.

Kumbhalgarh fort ("Kumbhal fort") is a Mewar fortress on the westerly range of Aravalli Hills, in the Rajsamand district near Udaipur of Rajasthan state in western India. It is a World Heritage Site included in Hill Forts of Rajasthan. It was built by Rana Kumbha during the course of the 15th century. Occupied until the late 19th century, the fort is now open to the public and is spectacularly lit for a few minutes each evening. By road Kumbalgarh is situated 80 km from Bera. It is the most important fort in Mewar after Chittorgarh Fort. Also it is famous for 38km fort wall which is the second longest continuous wall after the Great wall of China. It is the second largest for in India after Chittor Fort.

The Ranakpur temple is located in a village of Ranakpur near Sadri town in the Pali district of Rajasthan. Ranakpur is only 60km away from Bera Village. This temple was buit by Dharna Shah, was a local Jain businessperson, he built this temple in the 15th century following a divine vision. The temple honors Adinath, the first Tirthankar of the present half-cycle (avasarpiṇī) according to Jain cosmology. The town of Ranakpur and the temple are named after the provincial ruler monarch, Rana Kumbha who supported the construction of the temple. The Ranakpur temple is one of the largest and most important temples of Jain culture. The campus includes various temples such as Chaumukha temple, Surya temple, Parsavanth temple and Amba temple.

Camel Cart or Bullock Cart Ride

To experience the rural ride one must do the camel or bullock cart ride and feel the glimpse of ancient India. Camel also known as Ship of the Desert because it is the only mean of transportation found in desert. For centuries before the modern transport system, it was the major transport system during ancient time in India. Now a days villagers use these carts for their daily life to carry grasses for their cattle, firewood and other household goods.

A camel cart ride needs to be booked well in advance.  Typically, guests could spend between two and four hours wandering through the village and nearby area.  They also have the choice of visiting the homes of local people. The camel or bullock cart ride is a totally non-touristy way to savor the Rajasthan countryside, and is one of the unique experiences which one can have only here in Rajasthan.

Day Picnic

We can organize day picnic for our in house guest if they wish to do so. Its an amazing experience to have the lunch in open place with the family members. One can feel the unique holiday experience, comes alive at the Bera village – a quite little hamlet set in the backdrop of Arawali hills and lush green fields of barley, wheat and whispering winds. Also picnic in village can offer - you to have real feel of rural India, insight into its culture and closely interact with simple and hardworking Village people. There are ethnic mud huts, serene pond, lively cattle barns - full of sheep, goats, cows, camels, buffaloes, horses, fowls, chickens etc.
